The Simple Woman's Daybook _ December 28, 2009

The Simple Woman's Daybook
December 28, 2009

Outside my window
is a winter wonderland. The snow started last Wednesday and didn't really totally stop until Saturday. I think we have about 20 inches. Is it Spring yet?

I am thinking
of the Christmas celebration we will have when my son comes. I am looking forward to having his family here. It is a new experience for me to have children in the house and having to deal with an ex-husband. The ex could put a snag in our all day plans.

I am thankful
that my company had a good time while they were here. I am thankful that my company went home and go there safely.

I am wearing
red thermal jammies, and of course slippers.

I am remembering
the wonderful Christmas we had with my aunt and cousin. I love them so.

I am going to the grocery store tomorrow to buy chicken wings for New Years Eve.

I am currently reading
a book by Sue Henry.

I am hoping
for time to go to the city in the next few weeks to visit with my friend and her family.

On my mind is my brother. He is a weird sort of guy but I love him.

I am noticing
that I really like the after Christmas sales online better than in the stores.

I am pondering
the words from the song "Mary Did You Know?". I wonder if she had any idea at all what was coming for her future. Did she understand all that the angel told her? I guess I will have to ask her when I meet her.

From the kitchen
we had leftovers from Christmas and after Christmas dinners. Tomorrow I guess I will have to cook again.

Around the house the cats have settled into their usual sleeping spots now that the company has left.

One of my favorite things
is peace.

From my photos (I hope)

  1. Hi, I'm just now getting to hop over for a visit! I had to take a break from the blog world for a few days due to Christmas activity overload! I love your village houses--I was hoping that you would share pics! I hope that you and yours had a Merry Christmas and that you have a Happy New Year. Thanks so much for all of your visits to Reflections...by Kathy. I look forward to your comments. Best wishes always, Kathy
