The Simple Woman's Daybook
March 29, 2010
I am going to try something different this week. We'll see how it works.
Outside my window. . .
My driveway as it looks now. It will look this way for about the next month and a half. Then the leaves will be out in full. I will post the difference then.
I am thinking. . .
The darker reddish vines like things are only part of my wild blackberry bushes. I am thinking about how they will all look when they are in bloom. The scent is so sweet.
I am learning...that having a working camera that is digital is lots of fun.
I am thankful for. . .
My husband. I often forget how great he really is. I often take him for granted. But today when I needed some serious help with things he was right there with me, helping. And he did it all with a smile; even when I was frustrated.
From the kitchen. . . Spaghetti, and bread tonight for dinner. Salmon chowder tomorrow with green salad. Liver and onions on Wednesday. Turkey for Easter.
I am wearing. . .the top half of my jammies that have rubber duckies on them with blue waves and pink bubbles. Black sweats for the bottom half. No socks or shoes.
I am creating. . .another baby blanket in pink. I am going to try and sell this one. Pictures to follow when finished.
I am going. . .nowhere this week. Homebody all week. Wow, I can't remember the last time that happened.
I am reading. . .A Grace Chapel Inn book. And Nancy Drew.
I am hoping. . .
This is a stand of popple trees that is across the road from us. I am hoping to see a haze of green soon where eventually leaves will be.
I am hearing. . .A Sherlock Holmes movie my husband is watching.
Around the house. . .
Yes, that is my Christmas village. I am just now putting it away. The snow melted in front of the shed 2 weeks ago, but it took me this long to get to it. The books above are what I use to give the different buildings the look of a variety of heights.
One of my favorite things. . .SPRING!! Can you tell?
A few plans for the rest of the week. . .I store my off season clothing in the shed contained in tubs. When I got into the shed today one of them had water on the lid. The roof leaked. I am praying that the clothing inside is not ruined. It is 1/2 of my summer clothing. Now while I would love new summer season clothes, I can't afford them right now. So this week I will be cleaning those clothes.
From my picture book....
His name is Randy. He is named after my BF,who taught him how to play when he was a baby. Now he is my helper in all things.

I loved this post! I just felt like I got to know you even more. :-) Your menu for the week sounds great. Well, minus the liver and onions on Wednesday. I could do without that. Actually, I am a chicken and have never even tried it, so I wouldn't really know if it is good or not. Oh, and I just envy your Christmas village. So many buildings. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI really like your picture post. What a neat idea!! I might try it next time. :-)
